上信越エリア（長野県・群馬県・新潟県）の絶景スポットや歴史・グルメを巡るデジタルスタンプラリーです。
対象のSA・PA、道の駅、観光スポットなどを巡ってスタンプを集めましょう。
集めたスタンプ数に応じて、上信越の品やオリジナルグッズなど豪華特典に応募できます。

01 Oharano Shrine

Founded during the relocation of the capital to Nagaoka-kyo, this ancient shrine enshrines a divided spirit of Kasuga Taisha Shrine in Nara. It is also known as the tutelary shrine of Murasaki Shikibu, and her feelings for Oharano are depicted in The Tale of Genji. The shrine grounds are dotted with designs related to deer, considered messengers of the gods, including "guardian deer" instead of the usual guardian lions. At Koizawa Pond, modeled after Sarusawa Pond in Nara, seasonal flowers such as water lilies and irises adorn the water's edge.

02 Shōhōji Temple

This Shingon Buddhist temple has long been affectionately known as "Nishiyama no Odaishi-sama." The temple grounds are home to famous stones collected from all over Japan, earning it the nickname "Temple of Stones." The Hōshōen garden, which uses the Higashiyama mountain range as a borrowed landscape, features garden stones arranged to resemble animals such as elephants, lions, frogs, and rabbits, and is also known as the "Stone Garden of Birds and Animals." The view of Kyoto city from across the garden is also a highlight.

03 Shōji-ji Temple

This temple is known as the place where the poet-monk Saigyo took his vows. With approximately 100 cherry trees planted on the grounds, including the "Saigyo Cherry Tree" said to have been planted by Saigyo himself, it is affectionately known as the "Temple of Flowers." The temple boasts beautiful scenery throughout the seasons, with cherry blossoms covering the grounds in spring and vibrant autumn foliage in the fall. It also houses valuable cultural artifacts, such as the seated statue of Yakushi Nyorai (Medicine Buddha), the principal image of the temple.

04 Suzumushi-dera Temple (Kegon-ji Temple)

Kegonji Temple, affectionately known as "Suzumushi-dera" (Cricket Temple) because the sound of crickets can be heard throughout the year, offers visitors the opportunity to listen to the crickets' chirping while enjoying tea and sweets and listening to the monks' humorous sermons. This Zen temple was founded in the mid-Edo period, and a statue of the "Happy Jizo Bodhisattva" wearing straw sandals stands beside the temple gate, said to grant one wish.

05 Old House Café Uyomon

This old farmhouse cafe is surrounded by the rich nature of Oharano. Three sisters who are also involved in agriculture renovated their grandmother's house to open the cafe, and they offer homemade dishes using plenty of fresh vegetables grown on their own farm. The popular "UYOMON Lunch Set" allows you to choose from several main dishes, including a monthly special, and comes with dessert and a drink, making it a very satisfying meal.

06 Bishamondo Monzeki

One of the five main temples of the Tendai sect. It is known for its sliding screen paintings that appear to change according to the viewer's movements, and the Bansui-en strolling garden, which is shaped like an inverted "heart" character. The main hall and other historical buildings and cultural properties such as the Karamon gate are also highlights. In spring, the weeping cherry trees spread their branches gracefully, and in autumn, the tunnel of autumn leaves that adorns the stairs leading to the Imperial Messenger Gate is beautiful, allowing visitors to enjoy the scenery of each season.

07 Daigo-ji Temple

This large Shingon Buddhist temple is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Known as the setting for Toyotomi Hideyoshi's "Daigo Cherry Blossom Viewing" event, it boasts numerous attractions, including the five-story pagoda, a national treasure and the oldest wooden structure in Kyoto Prefecture. It is also a popular spot for viewing autumn foliage; during the season, the vermilion-lacquered Benten Hall and red bridge at the back of the temple grounds, along with the vibrant autumn leaves, are reflected on the surface of Benten Pond, creating a picturesque scene.

08 Juushinin

This temple is associated with Ono no Komachi, one of the world's three most beautiful women, and is said to have spent her later years here. The temple grounds are dotted with relics related to Komachi, including a mound where 1,000 love letters are said to have been buried, and a well she used for applying makeup. In addition to the "Hanezu Dance" held every year on the last Sunday of March, the temple also attracts attention for its pink fusuma paintings depicting Komachi's life, "Gokusaishiki Ume-nioi Komachi Ezu" (Colorful Plum Blossom Scent of Komachi).

09 Malebranche Roman Forest

Kyoto Kitayama Malebranche is a popular Western-style confectionery shop with multiple locations in Kyoto. At its factory-attached Roman no Mori (Forest of Romance), located in the birthplace of the company, you can enjoy a relaxing café time in a glass-walled, lush green space bathed in dappled sunlight. Be sure to check out the Roman no Mori-exclusive lunch sets and sweets, including a set featuring croissants baked with folded butter.
