Kintaikyo Bridge is a nationally designated scenic spot and one of Japan's most representative wooden bridges. In 1673, Kikkawa Hiroyoshi, the third lord of the Iwakuni domain, built a wooden bridge, but it was soon washed away by floods of the Nishiki River. However, the bridge, rebuilt with improvements in 1674 (Enpō 2), maintained its magnificent appearance for 276 years until it was washed away by floods caused by Typhoon No. 29 (Typhoon Kijia) in September 1950 (Shōwa 25). After being washed away, it was rebuilt as a wooden bridge in 1953 (Showa 28) due to strong demand from the citizens. From 2002, a "Heisei Reconstruction Project" was undertaken to replace the deteriorated wooden sections, and in March 2004, the building was completed with a new cypress wood finish. The replacement of the wooden sections of the bridge is a regular, traditional project that has been carried out since the Edo period, largely through successive generations of bridge carpenters, even on the old Kintaikyo Bridge. (Note: Although the Iwakuni Domain was not officially recognized as a feudal domain until the end of the Edo period, it independently handled administration, taxation, and public order from the beginning, and thus possessed de facto autonomy. Therefore, the term "Iwakuni Domain" has been used consistently.) The bridge is approximately 193 meters long and 5 meters wide. It is constructed using the "wood joinery technique" with metal clamps and metal fasteners. The arched bridge's structure is considered ingenious and original, and is said to be flawless even from the perspective of modern bridge engineering. You can enjoy the colorful scenery of each season: cherry blossoms in spring, cormorant fishing and fireworks displays at night in summer, the autumn foliage of the natural forest on Shiroyama in fall, and a snow-covered landscape in winter.

Momijidani Park is a park created from the former sites of several temples that existed since the Edo period. In the past, this area was called "Teratani" and was home to many temples. Even today, two temples remain: "Yokoji" and "Tosenji." The garden of Eikoji Temple was designated a scenic spot of Iwakuni City in 1999. Within the grounds of Tosenji Temple is a weeping plum tree, "Garyo no Ume" (Sleeping Dragon Plum), said to be over 300 years old. *Tozenji Temple: Go up the stairs and it's on your right at the end. This park is a charming and tranquil place, always enveloped in a peaceful atmosphere. Both the fresh green maple leaves and the vibrant autumn foliage offer a delightful sight for visitors. Furthermore, at the back of the park, there is a literary monument to "Ohan," a work by Chiyo Uno, a writer from Iwakuni City. 岩国のシロヘビは 昔から山口県岩国市に集中して生息し、「神様の使い」として崇められてきました。 開運・金運のご利益があるとされ、大切に保護されています。 体長180センチ・胴回り15センチと大柄だけど、おっとりとした大人しい性格です。 体は白く、目はルビーのように赤い、日本にしか生息しないアオダイショウのアルビノが保護されてきたものです。 昭和47年（1972）に国の天然記念物と指定されています。 シロヘビを間近に見ながら、歴史や生体について楽しく学べるミュージアム！ 資料や模型の展示、解説映像、ゲームや体験展示で、シロヘビのことを勉強できます。

The museum houses approximately 7,000 items, including historical documents and works of art and crafts that have been passed down through the Yoshikawa family. Of these, 2,500 are designated as National Important Cultural Properties, and the collection includes valuable items such as the National Treasure "Kitsunegasaki no Tachi" (a sword). It opened in December 2012 as a joint military and civilian airport. The flight connects Haneda and Iwakuni in approximately 95 minutes, and Naha and Iwakuni in approximately 120 minutes. Located close to the city center and offering convenient access to the airport, it is used by many people not only for sightseeing but also for business travel.

昭和4年（1929）4月、岩徳線の一部開通にともない、岩国駅として開業した。昭和17年（1942）に麻里布駅を岩国駅と改称した際に、西岩国駅に改称した。 木造平屋建、寄棟造、桟瓦葺、外壁モルタル仕上げで、正面入口上部に設けられた、アーチ窓と柱形（ピラスター）からなる表現派風の大きな切妻と、錦帯橋をイメージさせる5連アーチの入口車寄に特色がある。 現在は岩徳線、錦川清流線の停車駅となっています。

Iwakuni Shirahige Shrine was established on December 16, 2012, with a deity enshrined at its founding ceremony. The deity was invited from Itsukushima Shrine (Miyajima-cho, Hatsukaichi City, Hiroshima Prefecture), a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Based on the long-standing protection and reverence for the white snake (designated as a natural monument) shown by the people of Imazu and many other citizens of Iwakuni, this achievement marks the culmination of a long-held wish, half a century after the establishment of the White Snake Preservation Society in 1955. Since ancient times, the Japanese have considered white animals sacred as incarnations of gods and have always cherished and protected them. Because white snakes, which protected rice granaries from rat infestations, were eventually associated with Benzaiten (the Indian water goddess), white snake halls and shrines were built throughout Iwakuni. Today, the shrine attracts many worshippers, particularly those seeking good fortune in wealth, business prosperity, and health and longevity. Next to the shrine are a white snake viewing area (operated by the White Snake Preservation Association) and an outdoor breeding facility (Iwakuni City), where you can view live white snakes, which are designated as natural monuments. Additionally, right in front of the Iwakuni Castle Ropeway station within Kikkō Park is the Iwakuni White Snake Museum, where you can learn about the history and ecology of white snakes in a fun way using models and other exhibits.

This is the only station on the Nishikigawa Railway's Seiryu Line where the up and down lines pass each other. In front of the station, local volunteers plant nemophila in the spring and sunflowers in the summer. There is also a cluster of anemones that bloom in the spring just a 3-minute walk away.

The name of the area where the Nishikano Outdoor Activity Center is located, Nishikano, originates from the Heian period, when Umezu Chujo Kiyokage slayed a ferocious two-headed deer that lived on Mount Hiei in Kyoto in this very spot. The river flowing near the campsite is home to fireflies and Japanese sculpins, and a primeval rhododendron forest thrives there. This naturally rich area offers a variety of activities, from strolling along the riverside promenade leading to Umezu Falls to enjoying fishing and cycling. This campsite is perfect for families with children, offering activities like playing in the Nigatani River. It also boasts sports facilities such as a multi-purpose field and gymnasium, making it suitable for sports training camps. Rental equipment is available at reasonable prices. This facility combines a welfare center and a science center. The welfare center provides comprehensive welfare services, including consultations. The bathing facilities, hall, and multi-purpose rooms can be used for various purposes such as events and meetings. 国道188号線沿いの後援です。通津美が浦（つづみがうら）公園はかつて、海水浴場としてにぎわいましたが、2007年に利用者減少のため閉鎖され、そののち平成２年に整備され、公園となった場所です。 海岸にはきれいな景色が広がり、遊泳は禁止されていますが、浜辺で磯遊びなどもできます。 海岸の反対側の丘は、森のようになっていて、遊具や展望広場があります。 「開運トンネル」という名前のトンネルも公園内にあります。 南国気分を味わえる、隠れ家のような公園です。

These are stations on the Sanyo Main Line. Because it's the nearest station to the Hiroshima Toyo Carp's minor league baseball field, the train is wrapped in the Carp's team colors. There are also manhole covers that feature a collaboration with the Hiroshima Carp baseball team.

This is the home stadium and training facility for the Hiroshima Toyo Carp's minor league (farm) team, which opened in 1993. It is located in a blessed natural environment, surrounded by mountains on all sides and enjoying a mild climate. The grounds are planted with many trees and flowers from various cities, including the Hiroshima Prefecture's official tree and flower, the Japanese maple (Iroha Momiji), as well as saplings of Japanese cypress (Asunaro), symbolizing the players' growth and success in the first team. The seating area in both the infield and outfield is grass seating (all seats are unreserved), offering a close and open feel to the players. Currently, only the infield grass seating is open. The Western League, the official minor league games held at the Yu training ground, offers free admission and has attracted over 20,000 fans annually in recent years. During games, local shops in Yuu town set up stalls selling local specialties, and the Hiroshima Toyo Carp Yuu Supporters Association sells original merchandise such as can badges and T-shirts.

In winter and spring, they sell around eight kinds of strawberry sweets, including their very popular strawberry mozzarella. Even outside of winter, you can enjoy menus featuring plenty of seasonal fruits such as blueberries and muscat grapes. As they are a strawberry farm, they also sell strawberry packs during strawberry season.

This facility offers accommodation in log cabin-style bungalows, barbecues, and woodworking workshops. With a grassy area and walking paths, you can enjoy a variety of experiences amidst abundant nature.

Opened in July 1982 as the Shuto Town Library, it became the Iwakuni City Shuto Library following the municipal merger in March 2006. The independent, single-story building offers a quiet and peaceful atmosphere. Storytelling sessions are held every second and fourth Saturday at 10:30 AM, with the cooperation of staff and volunteers. Furthermore, a mobile library service is operated, visiting 24 stations every two weeks to provide convenient library services to residents in areas that have difficulty accessing the library. Number of volumes held: 57,000 (as of March 2024) Chiyo Uno, who was from Iwakuni City, had a father from Shuto Town, and the museum also displays works by Chiyo Uno and related materials.
