Hakamagoshi Plaza, located near the entrance to Ueno Park, is said to have gotten its name from the area corresponding to the waist of a hakama (traditional Japanese trousers). In the center of the square is a frog fountain, which is also used as a meeting place. On September 5th (Saturday), the Geisai (Tokyo University of the Arts) event "Happy Collection (Happi Coat Collection)" will also be held here.

Marishiten Tokudaiji Temple is a Nichiren Buddhist temple located in Ueno Hirokoji, with a history spanning 400 years. This temple, which has enshrined Marishiten, the guardian deity of good fortune, protection from evil, and victory, since the Edo period, is one of Japan's three major Marishiten temples and is revered throughout the country. Please visit the shrine to receive blessings that will help you overcome various difficulties.
