The Rinrin Corridor, a wind chime-filled corridor on the lotus-viewing deck at Shinobazu Pond, is adorned with 4,000 wind chimes. This is a place where you can find love while gazing at lotus flowers and being soothed by the sound of wind chimes.

The Bentendo Hall was built during the Kan'ei era in the early Edo period by Jigen Daishi Tenkai, the founder of the Tendai sect's Toeizan Kan'ei-ji Temple (1536-1643). It is widely worshipped as the guardian deity of music and performing arts, and is said to bring good fortune, such as increased wealth.

Hanazono Inari Shrine is known as a shrine that protects the basic necessities of life (clothing, food, and shelter) and is also a shrine for matchmaking. The eastern approach, lined with vermilion torii gates, is particularly impressive. It is also known as the site of the final fierce battle of the Shogitai (the Battle of Anainarimon) during the Battle of Ueno at the end of the Edo period.

Ueno Zoo is currently home to four shoebills (three females and one male).
