It is a nationally designated scenic spot and is considered one of Japan's three most famous bridges. You can enjoy the colorful scenery of each season: cherry blossoms in spring, cormorant fishing and fireworks displays in summer, autumn foliage in the natural forests of Shiroyama, and a snow-covered landscape in winter. Chiyo Uno deeply loved this bridge, calling it "a bridge so precious that I could boast about it to all of Japan and it wouldn't be enough."

This is the house where Chiyo Uno, a writer from Iwakuni City, spent her childhood. It was restored to almost its original state by Chiyo Uno herself in 1974.

Iwakuni School was established in 1870 (Meiji 3) by Kikkawa Tsunetake, the second lord of the Iwakuni domain, who implemented a major reform of the education system to educate the domain's youth. The former military academy and literary school were reorganized into a public middle school and public elementary school, and a new building was constructed near the present location. The school opened in February of the following year, 1871 (Meiji 4). Chiyo Uno also attended this school.

This park is beautiful in autumn with its vibrant fall foliage and in early summer with its fresh green leaves, and it also features the "Ohan Literary Monument." The opening passage from "Ohan," one of Chiyo Uno's most famous works, is inscribed here.

This historic building, a former merchant's house from the late Edo period, serves as a platform for sharing information about Iwakuni's history, culture, and tourism. Currently, the museum exhibits kimonos, ceramics, paintings, and other works by Chiyo Uno.

This large park was built on the site of the residence and retainers' houses of the Kikkawa family, who ruled Iwakuni during the Edo period. It was selected as one of Japan's 100 Best Historical Parks. In one corner stands a monument honoring Chiyo Uno. It bears inscribed with Chiyo's handwritten words, "Happiness begets happiness."

The town where Chiyo Uno's father's family home was located was "Takamori" (present-day Shuto-cho, Iwakuni City). In one corner of the museum, there is an exhibition corner dedicated to Chiyo Uno, marked by panel photographs. It features reproductions of her handwritten manuscripts, the first edition of "Ohan," and signed books. Next to it, a collection of works by Chiyo Uno herself and related publications is displayed.

It is located on the site of the former residence of Chiyo Uno's father's family, the Uno family (Takamori, present-day Shuto-cho, Iwakuni City). The Uno family were wealthy, having been sake brewers for generations. An excerpt from "The Story of a Certain Woman" is inscribed on the monument.
