対象のSA・PA、道の駅、観光スポットなどを巡ってスタンプを集めましょう。
集めたスタンプ数に応じて、上信越の品やオリジナルグッズなど豪華特典に応募できます。

01 Omi Shrine

-A place associated with "Karuta" and dedicated to Emperor Tenji- Omi Shrine is dedicated to Emperor Tenchi, who composed the first poem in the Ogura Hyakunin Isshu: "Autumn fields, kariho no hut, toma wo arami, my clothes and hands, wet with dew." The shrine building is a registered national cultural property, and the bright red tower gate is famous for being featured in the film and manga "Chihayafuru." From the temple grounds, where the autumn leaves are beautiful, you can see Lake Biwa and feel so comfortable that you will want to take a deep breath.

02 Omi Kangakukan

-The "holy land of karuta" where the Meijin and Queen title matches are held- Omi Kangakukan, located within the grounds of Omi Shrine, is known as a mecca for competitive karuta, and was the setting for the manga and film Chihayafuru. Numerous competitive karuta tournaments and events are held here throughout the year. The exhibition corner introduces the history of Hyakunin Isshu and competitive karuta, the Meijin and Queen title deciding matches, and sells karuta goods that can only be found here, allowing you to experience the profound world of karuta.

03 Mii-dera Temple (Onjo-ji Temple)

-A place associated with former Great Priest Gyoson- Miidera, the place associated with former great priest Gyoson, who wrote the 66th poem of the Ogura Hyakunin Isshu, "Let us all feel the pity of the mountain cherry blossoms, for no one knows them better than their flowers," is the head temple of the Tendaijimon sect, boasting a history of over 1,300 years. In autumn, the temple grounds become a different world as the maple trees take on vibrant colors of vermilion and gold. The stone-paved approach to the temple, the Niomon Gate, the main hall, and the Otowa Waterfall that flows through the temple grounds are all picturesque and beautiful, and at dusk the lights come on, creating an even more fantastical sight.

04 Lake Biwa Otsukan

-A place associated with Kakinomoto no Hitomaro- Biwako Otsukan is located near a monument to Kakinomoto no Hitomaro, who wrote the poem "Ashibiki no pheasant's tail, Shidari tail, Naganagashi yoru wo, Hitori kamo nemu" (The long, drooping tail of the mountain pheasant's tail, I may sleep alone) from the Ogura Hyakunin Isshu poem No. 3. The monument is engraved with the words, "Omi Sea, evening waves, plovers, when you cry, my heart aches and I think of the past." The Omi Sea is thought to refer to Lake Biwa, and the nostalgic memories of the past are thought to refer to the time when Omi was the capital of Emperor Tenchi. Biwako Otsukan is also attractive for its classical exterior and English garden that changes color with the seasons. In autumn, the park is colored with red leaves and roses, and the contrast between the blue of Lake Biwa and the flowers is like a painting. Guests can enjoy a meal overlooking Lake Biwa from the hotel's cafe and restaurant.

05 Enryaku-ji Temple on Mount Hiei

-A place associated with former Archpriest Jien- Enryakuji Temple on Mount Hiei is a place associated with the former great priest Jien, who wrote the 95th poem in the Ogura Hyakunin Isshu: "Ohokenaku Ukiyo no minni oofukana waga tsuma ni sumi-zome no sleeves." It is a sacred place for Japanese Buddhism founded by Saicho, and is also registered as a World Heritage Site. From the quiet grounds, you can enjoy a spectacular view of Lake Biwa and the cityscape of Otsu, along with the colours of the four seasons, and on clear days you can even see the Hira mountain range on the opposite shore. In autumn, the entire mountain is covered in autumn leaves, and the contrast between the vibrant reds and golds and Lake Biwa is breathtakingly beautiful.

06 Karasaki Shrine

-A place associated with Princess Shikishi- Karasaki Shrine, a place associated with Princess Shikishi, who wrote the 89th poem in the Ogura Hyakunin Isshu, "O jewel's cord, if it breaks, it will never break; if it continues, the patience grows weaker," has long been a famous spot known for "Night Rain at Karasaki," one of the eight scenic views of Lake Biwa. From the temple grounds, you can get a panoramic view of the calm waters of Lake Biwa and Mt. Hiei beyond. There is also the Karasaki Pine, which is said to be over 1,000 years old. The scenery created by the tree's branches and the sparkling lake is a quintessential Japanese landscape, and it is said that famous poets and haiku poets often visited the area.

07 Tou Shrine

-A place associated with Minamoto no Toru (Left Minister Kawara)- Toru Shrine is a place associated with Minamoto no Toru (Minister of the Left, Kawara), who wrote the poem "Mutsu no Shinobu Mojizuri, for whom has it become so chaotic that I cannot stand it any longer" in the 14th poem of the Ogura Hyakunin Isshu. Minamoto no Toru (Kawara Sadaijin) is said to be one of the models for Hikaru Genji, the protagonist of The Tale of Genji, written by Murasaki Shikibu.

08 Ono Shrine

-A place associated with Ono no Takamura (Councillor Takamura)- Ono Shrine is a place associated with Ono no Takamura (Councillor Takamura), who wrote the 11th poem of the Ogura Hyakunin Isshu: "Tell people that the fishing boat of the rainbow has set sail across the eighty islands of the plain of cotton." Ono Shrine, located on a small hill at the foot of Mt. Hira overlooking Lake Biwa, is widely worshipped as the god of sweets making. The clan has a history of flourishing since the Nara and Heian periods, attracting the faith of its members, and is the birthplace of figures such as Ono no Imoko and Ono no Takamura. Within the grounds are Ono no Takamura Shrine, dedicated to Ono no Takamura (Councillor Takamura), and Ono no Michikaze Shrine, dedicated to Ono no Michikaze. Both shrines are designated as Important Cultural Properties of Japan, and can be enjoyed as bases for historical walks.

09 Ishiyama-dera Temple

-A place associated with Murasaki Shikibu- Ishiyama-dera Temple is a place associated with Murasaki Shikibu, who wrote the 57th poem in the Ogura Hyakunin Isshu: "Walking around and seeing, or perhaps before I knew it, the clouds had hidden the midnight moon." This elegant place is also known as the place where Murasaki Shikibu conceived the idea for The Tale of Genji. From the main hall and pagoda at the top of the stone steps, you can see Lake Biwa and the mountains on the opposite shore, creating a landscape where nature and history are in harmony. In autumn, the temple grounds are adorned with gorgeous autumn leaves, and at night the temple is lit up, illuminating the leaves and the shrine building with a fantastic light. Ishiyama-dera Temple can be enjoyed twice a year, during the day and at night, making it a spectacular spot that can only be experienced in Otsu in autumn.

10 Seki Semimaru Shrine

-A place associated with Semimaru- Seki Semimaru Shrine is a place associated with Semimaru, who wrote the poem "This is the place where we part ways, whether we go or come, whether we know or don't know, Osaka Barrier." Semimaru was a master biwa player and poet of the Heian period. Despite being blind, he mastered the biwa and is known as one of the Thirty-six Immortal Poets. He is worshipped throughout the country as the god of music, dance, and performing arts, and is also said to be the god of eye diseases and hair, due to the anecdote in which the blind Semimaru regained his sight.
